Lindenow is a beautiful town about 14 kms west of Bairnsdale in East Gippsland.

Vegetable Growing...

 Lindenow is a farming community, with thousands of acres (duh... hectares, ok) of rich river flats dedicated to vegetable growing. Vegetable crops grown on these flats are distributed all over Australia. 

Mitchell River...

The Mitchell river that runs through the flats has deposited billions of tonnes of rich river silt over eons of time, forming some of the richest arable farm land in Australia. The river also supplies ample water for irrigation to keep crops growing year round in what is a very temperate climate with an average rainfall of only about 26 inches a year.
